Step 1: Sign into EMIS and open reporting

Once you have signed into EMIS, open the menu in the top left and select the option Reporting>Population Reporting

Step 2: Find, select and run your report

Select which report you would like to run from the list on the left side of the page, or create one from scratch.

Once you have selected the report you would like, click the Run icon in the banner.

Step 3: View and Edit Report

As soon as the report has run the option View Results (2 across from Run) will become available, click this icon now. This will open the results of your report.

When you are happy you have run the correct report, click Edit Report at the top left of the page.

Here you will need to select which information you want in your CSV file.

Depending on which upload you are using for your Hero Campaign, you will need different fields:

Full Contact Details:

Please select Given name, Family Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Telephone or E-mail Address and EMIS Number (please note to find email and phone number you must click on the section Contact Details)

EMIS ID & date of birth:

Please select EMIS Number and Date of Birth, these will be used to retrieve the patients' contact details.

Once you have selected which patient details you would like in the report, click Save and Run in the top left of the screen.

NHS number & date of birth:

Please select NHS Number and Date of Birth, these will be used to retrieve the patients' contact details.

Once you have selected which patient details you would like in the report, click Save and Run in the top left of the screen.

Step 4: View and export final results

After you have updated and run the report click View Results in the banner at the top of the page, and then Export.

The export report window will open, here you need to select the option CSV and Exclude report header

You can now name your file and save it on your computer to upload to your Hero campaign.

Step 5: Check and Upload to Hero

Once you have saved your report check the headers to confirm they match those in the template provided.

After you are happy the report is correct and the headers match you can return to Hero and upload the list to your campaign.
