Introduction to Notifications

Updated over a year ago

Notifications in Hero Health allow you to track when a patient or event needs attention or is useful information.

In the notification centre, you will notice the different types of notifications. EMIS, Appointments and Questionnaires.

In your EMIS notifications, you will be able to see:

  • Incomplete bookings. This means the sync between EMIS and Hero didn't happen as it should.

  • Save to Record. This means saved to the patient's record in EMIS.

  • Unregistered patient. This means a patient that you don't have registered in EMIS has booked an appointment through Hero. You will need to go into EMIS to register them.

The Appointments notifications will let you know when a patient has booked, cancelled or rescheduled an appointment.

The Questionnaires notifications will notify you when a patient has completed a questionnaire.

To determine what notifications you will receive, go to Settings > Additional features > Notifications

From here you should see a list of your available notifications with options to:

  • Enable: choose which notifications you will get

  • Default status: choose whether a notification requires an action

  • Default assignee: with certain notifications, you may want to assign them to a specific team member

Note: You may see some different notifications on your settings depending on your practices setup

Once you have set up your notifications, the next time an action takes place it will trigger a notification. You will see in the notifications tab that you now have visibility of this. To view and action these, go to the notifications tab as shown below 👇

From here, you can see a detailed list of all the notifications you set up and manage them accordingly. You can:

  • Close the notification: To remove it from the open notifications and clear it from the navigation bar counter as above

  • Assign the notification: To select to assign the notification to either yourself or another team member

  • Filter the notifications: To find only notifications that are open or closed as well as to view notifications by the assignee

Hopefully now you can see the value in setting up your notifications, if you have any questions or need help with anything - start a chat with us and we will be happy to help!
