Signature Rx: How to resend, cancel or track the dispensing status of a prescription

Learn how to use the Signature Rx portal to track the dispensing status of a script, resend a script or cancel an undispensed prescription

Once a prescription has been sent from Hero to Signature Rx, you can then use the Signature Rx portal to follow the status of the prescription.

In the 'Prescription' table, accessed via the main toolbar you can view all prescriptions, and their status. The key statuses are:

  • Signed - Once the script has been successfully issued, but not dispensed or dispatched

  • Dispensed - The patient has visited a pharmacy and the medication has been marked as dispensed by the pharmacy

  • Dispatched - The patient has chosen to have the medication posted to them by the Signature Rx pharmacy postal service

You can view the status of prescriptions for specific patients by signing into the Signature Rx clinician dashboard, and then searching by patient name for issued prescriptions.

How to resend an issued prescription

Find the relevant prescription in the prescription table, then:

  • Open the relevant prescription, by clicking the Prescription ID

  • To resend, select the 'Resend email/SMS' icon

How to cancel an issued prescription

To cancel an issued prescription, first find the relevant prescription in the prescription table, then:

  • Open the relevant prescription, by clicking the Prescription ID

  • To cancel, select the "Void prescription" icon in the top right
