Connections in Hero Health allow you to connect patients together and manage their appointments, reminders, and billing. In this article, we'll show you how to create a connection, add a billpayer, and add an insurer to a patient's account.
To create or manage a connection, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Find the patient
Use the search box at the top of the page to find the patient you want to create a connection for.
Click on the patient's name to access their details.
Step 2: Access the Connections tab
Once you are on the patient's account, click on the Connections tab.
You will see three sections: Billpayers, Patients, and Insurers.
Step 3: Add a connection
In the Patients section, click the Add button to the right.
Confirm the connection type and search for another patient in Hero Health to connect to.
Once you have selected the patient, press save.
Step 4: Add a billpayer
In the Billpayers section, click the Add button to the right.
Search for another patient in Hero Health to connect to.
You will also have the option to make this new connection the default billpayer.
Once you have selected the patient, press save.
Note: A patient can have multiple connections, but only one default billpayer.
Step 5: Add an insurer
In the Insurers section, click the Add insurer button.
Choose from the list of available insurers and enter the policyholder's details.
Note: If you can't find the insurer you need, contact Hero Health support for assistance.
