In this support article we will walk you through adding or editing a location within Hero. Whether you're expanding your sites or updating existing information, managing locations effectively is crucial.

How do I add or remove a location?

EMIS and SystmOne using practices

How do I add a location?

From the Home page, find EMIS/SystmOne settings and click Locations. From the practitioners page click Add location and search for locations that are already in your EHR.

How do I archive a location?

To archive a location, go to the locations page and find the location you would like to archive and click Options and then Archive.

Non-EMIS or SystmOne using practices

How do I add a location?

To add a practitioner, go to settings and then find Your business and in the dropdown click Locations.

Now you are on the locations page you can click Add. The add location page will appear, you can then fill out the locations information and click save, the location will be ready to start booking appointments at!

How do I archive a location?

To archive a location if you are not using EMIS or Systm1, please contact [email protected] so we may assist you.

How do I edit a location?

You may want to change things on a locations profile. You can do this by going to the locations page and then clicking Options and then Edit next to the relevant location. Here you can edit the patient-facing name, code, locations phone number, you can add an image, a description and an address. Finally, you can add a guidance messaging for No appointment guidance and Cancellation guidance.

What is a 'No appointment guidance' message?

If you have sent a link to a patient to book an appointment, or have a booking link on your website but there is currently no availability, we will display this message to patients.

Example:
Sorry but we do not have any appointments available for online booking right now, please email [email protected] for more information.

What is 'Cancellation guidance' message?

If you have set up a cancellation window (learn how to do this here), you can set a message for the patient to view when they are no longer able to cancel their appointment.

Example:

Unfortunately, you can no longer cancel your appointment online due to being outside of the cancellation window, if you urgently need to cancel this appointment, please contact [email protected] so we may assist you further.
