How do I send out a cross-organisational invite?

To send by individual message, from the Hero home screen, select Send a message.

To send by batch message, from the Hero home screen select Manage campaigns. Then click + New campaign, a pop up will appear, you will need to give your campaign a name in the relevant field then select Booking as your campaign type. Now upload your patient list and then open the message builder. After you have typed your message:

  • Select 'Add invite link' > 'Patient invite link'.

  • Select your location and you'll see a list of your practice locations and locations within your Networks.

  • Once you have selected a location you can select an appointment. you will notice that the appointments are those that are available via cross-org at the location you picked.

  • You can then optionally choose a practitioner.

Once you have reviewed your message and link, you can go ahead and press send and your patient will be able to book in at the location you have sent them a link for.

When would I use this functionality?

You may need to use the cross-organisational booking feature to send patients invites to book into specific clinics e.g. podiatry. If you are a PCN, you may want to send out invitations on behalf of one of your practices to their patients, which will be reflected in their Electric Health Record.
